From author, radio and director Tariq Nasheed, comes the documentary, Hidden Colors 2: The Triumph Of Melanin, a sequel to last year’s Hidden Colors: The Untold History Of People Of Aboriginal, Moor, and African Descent.

The film will feature interviews with leading scholars and historians across the USA, each discussing topics that have been “omitted from modern history books,” focusing on the following areas and more:

*The origins of the Olmec and Mayans

*The truth about the prison industrial complex

*The economic warfare against aboriginal people

*Untold American history

*Secret medical practices against people of color

And much more.

The documentary will also touch on many of the reasons why much of this information has been hidden from the public for so long, say the producers.

This film will be of interest to everyone, regardless of race or ethnic background, because the rich history of the people discussed is world history. And world history is all of our history.

Hidden Colors 2: The Triumph Of Melanin will be in theaters this Fall. It recently completed a successful $30,000 fundraising campaign to see it through completion.

The first film in the series, Hidden Colors, was released in April 2011, in select theaters across North America. It was Tariq Nasheed’s directorial debut, and is availavle on DVD currently.

In 12 years of public school education and 4 years of undergraduate education, I have never felt as educated and enlightened as I have after just under 2 hours of watching this film. I had the great fortune of seeing the movie in the theater and had to view the DVD 3+ more times to process all the historical knowledge presented in this film. Beware, this film will lead you to seek more in depth information, so be prepared to spend extra time in your local library or doing your own research on the internet.

Great documentary. Black history is hidden, so we have to start digging, and this documentary is a great place to start. Watching this documentary, you will discover interesting facts. Facts such as how Black people from North Africa civilized Europe. Facts about how Black people established the first dynasties in Asia. The truth about I.Q and much more.

You might be already aware of many of these facts, but in this DVD it is consolidated and beautifully put together with images. One thing to remember is that this dvd doesn’t even touch on the pinnacle of Black history. You can’t fit Black history into a two hour dvd, so there will be more parts to come as the executive producer has said.

The scholars in this movie were great. Not only were they informative but also charismatic which made them exciting to listen too. One of them you need to look out for is Umar Johnson. This man seems to have the potential and the ambition to be the next great true Black leader.

This is a must have for every Black person. And anyone for that matter that wants to learn true history. Can’t wait for pt.2!
